Im tired of all this talk about who should be the number one contender for Georges St. Pierre or Anderson Silva well I have a way you can stop all this non sense and put them through The Ultimate Fighter get 8 Middleweights and 8 Welterweights in the UFC and have them fight it out where the winner will be the number one contender. As for the coaches...who needs coaches...just put some legit trainers in there to help them train for the fights...make it like TUF 4 have special coaches like maybe Randy Couture again or Nogueira someone. I am tired of Henderson bitchin I am the number one contender...Im tired of Marquardt whoopin ass and not gettin his shot....Im tired of top contenders doin dumb crap to get hurt i e Mike Swick....in the words of Chris Leben from season 1 "Lets solve this shit" thats just an idea thats the best i can do.
Middleweights:
1. Nate Marquardt 2. Dan Henderson 3. Demian Maia 4. Yushin Okami 5. Chael Sonnen 6. Vitor Belfort 7. Ricardo Almeida 8. Denis Kang or Wanderlei Silva
Welterweight:
1. Mike Swick 2. Martin Kampmann 3. Carlos Condit 4. Thiago Alves 5. Jon Fitch 6. Josh Koscheck 7. Anthony Johnson 8. Karo Parisyan

Fitch should be ahead of Alves, since he has a win over him. I think they should fight again, though.

I think it's a great idea. I think it would actually solve some issues for me. I am a HUGE....HUGE fan of the old UFC. I loved the "everyone fights everyone" kind of style. If you turned TUF into a huge tournament like that instead of having all this chaos, I would so thrilled.
I agree with you. I would love that idea.

way too much money... wow, no WAY the could afford that! these guys are used to a big bank per fight, and all these fights.... plus it then being free on spike! wand can headline a PPV and it sell, and you want him on the show fighting possibly 3 times. wow. all the guys. i can't even imagine.

I am just saying, he has guaranteed money if he stays away from the UFC, like stupid fedor. I mean, he could easily just go around fighting door knobs and make money. Instead he is trying to get in the UFC and taking the chance of getting completely destroyed and booted out and laughed at.

the problem is if he goes somewhere else and loses to another seth, he is DONE. the show will make him money (probably banked well with interviews, sponsors, maybe revenue, etc.) and i guarantee the UFC plans to make money OFF of him. they didn't just bring him over to expose him, at the end of the day, dana is a businessman, not some prophet.
hypothetically, he wins a fight or two on the show, then on the finale he is either in the finale or against a near guarantee win. then, he debuts on a UFC main card for BIG BUCKS and gets tons of money behind the scenes by various ways.
wanting to fight outside of the UFC is like wanting to play arena football. other orgs would rely on kimbo or fedor to make them money, and ultimately crumble (as seen), where the UFC is the one to make the fighters money.
